Azerbaijani Tea Achieves International Success in Paris: Fireland Azerbaijani Association Receives Awards on Behalf of AzerÇay
Azerbaijani tea achieved notable international recognition at the 8th AVPA International Tea Competition held in Paris. In this prestigious contest—where more than 300 tea products from 18 countries were evaluated across 25 categories—two products of the Azerbaijani brand “AzerÇay” were awarded.
The Fireland Azerbaijani Association participated in the competition as a partner of “AzerÇay” and accepted the awards on its behalf. This year marks the first time Azerbaijani tea has been represented on such a large scale at the AVPA competition, which has now been organized for the eighth time.
Prior to the contest, Azerbaijani tea was showcased at the Brussels International Tea Festival in the capital of Belgium, attracting significant interest from festival participants. Following this successful presentation, Azerbaijani tea was invited by the AVPA to take part in the competition in Paris.
A total of four Azerbaijani teas competed in the event, and two of them received awards. This achievement once again reaffirms the growing competitiveness and high quality of Azerbaijani tea in the international market.
The success represents an important step in promoting Azerbaijani tea globally and opens new opportunities for larger-scale presentations in the future. The organizers of the event officially invited the Fireland Azerbaijani Association to the Tea Festival to be held in Paris in 2026.
The Fireland Azerbaijani Association participated in the project with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium. Moreover, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to France, Mrs. Leyla Abdullayeva, attended the awards ceremony in Paris alongside members of the Fireland Azerbaijani Association and extended her congratulations on the achievement.
