A memorial concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held in Brussels.

Representatives of embassies in Brussels, EU officials, public and political figures, representatives of science, art, media and research centers, representatives of Azerbaijani communities from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and our compatriots took part in the commemorative event organized by the embassy.

Giving detailed information about the Khojaly genocide, Ambassador Vagif Sadigov noted that this genocide was the heaviest and most terrible black page in the history of the Azerbaijani people. He said that in November 2020, as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War, the Azerbaijani people gained victory by returning their historical lands, and spoke about the large-scale restoration work currently underway there.

Then the concert took place, and our young compatriots living in different European countries Narmin Najafli (piano), Agarahim Guliyev (flute) and Aziza Salahova (violin) performed works by Azerbaijani and foreign composers.
