KHOJALY - A PLAY ABOUT SURVIVING
http://www.uniontheatre.biz/khojaly.html
KHOJALY gives a voice to the people whose lives were changed forever by the massacre that took place in February 1992 of the Azerbaijani inhabitants of Khojaly, a town in Nagorno-Karabakh, riven by the war there that lasted from 1988 to 1994.
Created by Debunk Theatre from the words and testimony of the survivors via interview workshops with our creative team in Azerbaijan, an ensemble of six actors takes to the stage to step forward and tell their personal stories in the form of a testimonial drama about escape and exile – and hope.
The production is supported by the Azerbaijan State Committee on Affairs with Diaspora.
Presented in partnership with the British Azerbaijani Community (BAC) and Azerbaijan House London.
