On January 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The head of state expressed deep condolences to the President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, regarding the tragic fire at a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort in Bolu province, Turkiye, which resulted in the loss of many lives.
He prayed for the souls of those who perished in this horrific tragedy and wished for the swift recovery of those injured.
President Ilham Aliyev also mentioned that he had sent a condolence letter to the President of Turkiye on January 21, in connection with the tragedy.
President Erdoğan expressed his gratitude for the condolences and attention, noting that Turkiye and Azerbaijan are always there for each other, and this will remain the case in the future.
During the telephone conversation, the two heads of state exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral relations.
