A commemorative event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy was held in Luxembourg.

 

The event was organized by LuxAz – the Luxembourg-Azerbaijan Friendship Association.

 

Held with the support of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, the event was attended by staff members of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, representatives of the diaspora, as well as members of the Azerbaijani community residing in Luxembourg.

 

The event began with a one-minute silence in memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy.

 

Chairman of LuxAz, Seymur Ahmadov, noted that the Khojaly tragedy has left a deep mark on the memory of the Azerbaijani people. He emphasized the importance of restoring historical justice and highlighted the necessity of instilling the values of peace and respect for human life in future generations.

 

Subsequently, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Emin Rustamov, stressed the importance of not forgetting the blood memory of the tragedy and spoke about the significance of the “Justice for Khojaly!” campaigns at the international level.

 

As part of the event, the documentary film “13,” dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy, was screened, and a photo exhibition was presented.
